Ecominga:New foundation to save threatened forests:
You need Java to see this applet.
A group of Ecuadorian and international scientists and conservationists,
including
Lou Jost, has created the Ecominga Foundation to buy up threatened
forests containing endangered plants and animals. They will seek international
and local funding to buy strategic forests and raise awareness about the
importance of these forests. Follow th
e link above to their page on Lou Josts'
site for news and information until the foundation has its own site.

     Thank you for visiting
Freshwater Orchids.
I specialize in Masdevallia, Dracula
and other Pleurothallids. Most of
these cool-growing orchids are
native to the Andean cloud forests
of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
The Pleurothallid group,
(technically a
subtribe) consists of
around 59 genera, containing more
than 4000 species, and many more
are being discovered each year. I
strive to bring you the highest
quality divisions and well-bred
seedlings of these fascinating
plants.
